It’s time to collect for back to school, already! And we are celebrating with a Pancake Party!

As in the past, the supplies we collect will be given both to families receiving services through the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF), as well as to foster families who have taken on the additional financial responsibility of equipping those in their care for the school year. To quote our DCF contact, Amanda, “We so appreciate your continued support. These donations make a huge impact on these kiddos. The confidence it gives them to start the new school year with all the supplies they need is incredible.”  

This year, Amanda will be joining us on the 10th for pancakes, so you can hear first-hand how our gifts are distributed and appreciated!

Buy a backpack, or school supplies, or if you can, stuff a backpack with supplies.   Please bring your donations to church on the 10th and we will give them directly to Amanda.  

If you are unable to join us on the 10th, please contact Susan Graham at sgraham@madriver.com, or 802-279-1117, to arrange for either a pick up, or to drop the items off prior to the 10th.  Any and all donations are appreciated!

Below is a list of suggested items (new items only, please):

• Backpacks

• Crayons, markers, pens and pencils, colored pencils, white-erase markers

• Pencil case

• Scissors

• Folders

• Index cards

• Water bottle

• Lunch boxes/bags/containers, especially for the younger children

• Construction paper

• Gift cards to Staples
